Join Native Fish Society, in partnership with Valley View Winery, Fly Water Travel, and the Ashland Fly Shop, on Thursday, June 8, from 5:30-8:30pm for Home Waters: South by Northwest - a celebration of native fish and our iconic southern Oregon homewaters at Jacksonville, Oregon's Valley View Winery. This event's objectives are twofold. The first is to recognize, honor, and connect with our southern partners and supporters on their own turf, and the second is to bring new friends and faces into the fold to expand our advocates and efficacy in the region.
Mark Sherwood, Native Fish Society Executive Director, will share inspiring stories of southern Oregon conservation successes and the Native Fish Society's current efforts to revive abundant wild, native fish throughout the region.
International fly fishing travel specialist Ken Morrish of Fly Water Travel will present images of the region's anadromous fisheries highlighting what makes his homewaters in southern Oregon and northern California so unique and worthy of protection.
This free event will have beverages from our friends at Valley View Vineyards and pies from Pizza Mia available for purchase on-site.
To help raise support for Native Fish Society's conservation efforts, we'll be hosting raffles for incredible steelhead fly-fishing adventures and NFS swag!
To all of our friends in Southern Oregon who cherish free-flowing rivers and abundant wild fish, we hope you will join us and bring a new friend or two along for what promises to be a fun and information-rich summer evening!
