Bill Bakke Retires from Native Fish Society

Oregon City, OR | Effective January 1st 2017, Bill Bakke has retired from his 20 year career with the Native Fish Society. Mr. Bakke is the Founder of NFS and was also, at various times, its Executive Director, Director of Science and Conservation, Corporate Secretary, and a member of the Native Fish Society's Board of Directors.

The Native Fish Society Board of Directors and staff thank Mr. Bakke for his tremendous effort on behalf of Oregon's wild, native fish. Bill was instrumental in the formation of Native Fish Society's River Steward Program, which carries on his work of science-based advocacy for native fish. Everyone at Native Fish Society wishes Mr. Bakke the best of luck in all his future endeavors.
