North Umpqua River Tree Planting
On November 5th, join Native Fish Society, the North Umpqua Coalition, National Forest Foundation, and the Umpqua National Forest for a tree planting to restore stream shade, create cover for amphibians, and reduce erosion by replanting disturbed areas of the recently decommissioned Copeland Creek Road.
We’ll be planting approximately 200 plants in the riparian areas where road culverts were removed. Please note that the planting sites are steep, with uneven footing and downed logs. Project managers from the NFF and the Umpqua National Forest will provide a brief project overview at the beginning of the day.
The Steamboaters and The North Umpqua Foundation will be hosting lunch following the planting at Steamboat Ballfields just across Mott Bridge.
Register for the event by using the form below. We're looking forward to seeing you in November for a fun-filled day working on habitat restoration!
